Fearless. Truthful. Unexpected.

Ben Whattam

Founding Partner, COO

In collaboration with Keko Group’s CEO, Brigitte Kemper, Ben sets the strategic direction for the agency across all offices and clients. Working with the teams in London, Germany, Dubai, Washington DC and Singapore, he oversees every aspect of the business across brand, product & service, and personnel strategies. Ben is a great believer that consumer-led insight is the key to unlocking standout work for clients. As a result, every piece of work produced by Keko is informed by these insights, applied with a real-world sensitivity.

Ben’s career started at international consulting firm Foolproof working with clients in NYC, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Paris – which also gave him a global perspective on HNWIs. A move to JWT, the home of planning, saw him build global advertising strategies for Nokia, HSBC and Shell. His subsequent role at Imagination gave him valuable experience in the world of branding and design, before he set up Keko London – first as Managing Partner and now as COO.

When he’s not thinking about work, Ben is thinking (very occasionally) about keeping fit.

Brigitte Kemper

Founding Partner, CEO

Brigitte founded Keko London in 2013, with Bentley as its inaugural client, and still believes strongly in helping to guide the company from her Frankfurt HQ. A Masters Degree in Business Administration has given her a career-long fascination with marketing and strategic consulting.

She worked at TBWA Frankfurt, Lowe & Partners and Michael Conrad, before becoming a member of the board at Leo Burnett. In 2001, Brigitte joined the Klaus E. Küster advertising agency as Managing Director. She became owner of the agency in 2009 – renaming it Kemper Kommunikation. Porsche AG was the main client. Others include: Porsche Design, Merck Millipore, Schüco, MHP Consulting, Telis Finanz, Heraeus, Bosch, UKM, GS1, Brose, Würth, VDMA and Claas. In 2011, she founded Keko Singapore for Porsche Asia Pacific, before opening the Keko London office.

Brigitte would love to have some hobbies, she’s just too busy.

Hywel Mills

General Manager

Hywel brings a passion for brand building, team culture, and audience engagement to his leadership of the Keko Washington team.

Having started out in advertising in London at iris, he went on to lead global partnership strategy for the Movember Foundation, working with iconic brands across the spirits, consumer goods, fashion, and beauty sectors.

A move stateside facilitated a shift to the forefront of digital media. As a global account director at the Guardian in New York, Hywel oversaw the creation of content-led campaigns and events for brands and nonprofits. At Atlantic 57, the consulting and creative division of The Atlantic, he held business development, marketing, and client engagement roles, partnering with brands in the tech, finance, and non-profit space.

Hywel is an avid runner, audiophile, and cocktail connoisseur.

Liz Vlk

Senior Account Director

A Maryland native, Liz is an ambitious marketer who has spent most of her career in integrated agencies in New York City. Liz’s background grounded in new business acquisition as she moved to hybrid account and strategist roles, managing clients such as The Wall Street Journal, Chico’s FAS, The Whitney Museum of American Art, Pearson, and McCormick & Company.

She believes three key ingredients should fuel all initiatives: creativity, data, and technology. Helping brands crack the challenge of growing meaningful relationships with people is what she loves to do. Championing teamwork to inspire change is how she does it.

In her spare time, Liz loves interior design and helping friends find their inner feng shui voice. She loves flowers almost as much and is constantly working on her bouquet-making skills.

Natalia Dominguez

Project Manager

Natalia joins the Keko team as the project manager. She started her career working at Wunderman-Thompson, one of the largest marketing agencies, as a front-end developer. There she grew professionally, eventually becoming project manager for Microsoft.

During her career, she has worked on digital campaigns specializing in CRM. She has worked with several brands, including Siemens, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and Microsoft.

In her spare time, Natalia likes to play video games and be with her dog.

Trang Hoang

Campaign Manager

Trang joins Keko from a global consulting agency as a senior marketing specialist supporting federal and commercial clients in the healthcare and transportation sectors. She was responsible for managing creative deliverables and nationwide email marketing campaigns.

Prior to that, she worked at an education nonprofit as a marketing manager where she recruited and retained teachers for a certification program. From these experiences, Trang developed skills in implementing email marketing campaigns and managing timelines.

In her spare time, Trang enjoys trying out new restaurants and traveling to new cities. She also loves fostering puppies and finding them forever homes.

Nicole DeMarco

Coming to Keko Washington from a full-service marketing agency with a roster of clients across diverse industries, Nicole knows the ins and outs of traditional and digital advertising. She also holds a master’s in sociolinguistics from Georgetown University, where she wrote her thesis about how a running joke in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is discursively achieved.

As a copywriter, Nicole channels the tone of voice unique to every client to ensure brand integrity across all communication touchpoints. While storytelling for brands, she’s also happy to answer questions like, “What’s the word for when…?”

If not wordsmithing, Nicole is likely watching the Philadelphia Eagles choke, noodling on a standup bit, traveling (and agonizing over how generic that sounds), or coercing herself to exercise.

Brandon Graham

Senior Designer

Brandon joins Keko as senior designer for our Washington team. Over the past decade, Brandon has put his creativity to work as an art director and designer across a variety of mediums—from traditional print work to digital experiences, to developing products with brands such as Under Armour, Adidas, Nike, and New Balance. As design lead, Brandon seeks to create thoughtful and integrated experiences, services, and spaces that ladder up to greater impact.

Before joining Keko, Brandon worked as senior designer and art director for sportswear apparel distributor, DTLR/VILLA, where he focused on brand-partnership innovation, collateral design, marketing, and branding.

He is passionate about all things creative and urban culture, often lending his expertise to create product and social events with friends and family in his free time and adding to his unusually massive sneaker and hat collections.

Maddy Traynor

Finance Manager

Maddy joins Keko Washington as a finance manager. A Pennsylvania native, Maddy completed her undergraduate degree at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. During her studies, Maddy worked with businesses and industries of all sizes while interning at a local bookkeeping and accounting firm.

Upon moving to D.C., Maddy joined a local think tank as a staff accountant, placing emphasis on process improvement and implementation, attention to detail, and crafting the perfect Excel spreadsheet.

When she’s not hiking or going on road trips, Maddy loves to curl up on the couch with her cat and the latest true crime documentary.

Daniel Clark

Junior Designer

Daniel joins Keko Washington as a junior designer and recent graduate of VCU’s design program. He is eager to get his hands dirty as a designer and is always looking for a challenge. With skills in brand design, illustration, UI, typography, and motion graphics, Daniel brings everything he can to the table at Keko. He’s keen to learn more and grow as a designer while pushing out quality work for our clients.

Before joining Keko, Daniel studied design in Richmond, VA. While in school, he worked multiple design internships, freelanced, and ran a small coffee company.

Daniel keeps up with the latest in design trends, skateboarding, and music to pull inspiration from the things he loves and bring them into his work.
